If you require a routine prescription, and if the doctor has indicated that you don’t need to be reviewed, you should be able to anticipate the need for your prescription well in advance of your running out of medicines. Please help us to ensure an efficient service by completing a repeat prescription form and giving us more than 48 hours notice of your need for a repeat script before you run out. You can Click here to Download or Print off the Prescription Form You can also order your repeat prescription by clicking Here or by Downloading or Mobile app below.
All patient prescriptions and medications are contained on our computer database. Between one and two hours are spent per day by surgery staff taking requests for repeat scripts, updating the computer information, checking and printing the scripts, before a final review and signing by the Doctor. In view of the considerable workload and demand on the practice, we must prioritize our tasks. It is generally not possible therefore to issue repeat prescriptions on demand.
If you have neglected to ask for a repeat script until you have run out of medication, remember also that, if you use a regular pharmacist, he/she may be able to supply you with some of your routine medication in anticipation of your getting a prescription. Prescriptions once completed will be left at reception for collection. A prescription will only be posted if you have provided us with a stamped addressed envelope.
Please do not leave it until the last minute to request a routine prescription.
The practice charges non-medical card holders fees for a repeat prescription without medical review.
